From the beginning, Batman: Arkham Knight had a difficult task at hand. Developer Rocksteady had to craft Arkham Knight into a powerful finale to their acclaimed Batman Arkham series. Like the wonderful Batman: Arkham City, and the sublime Batman: Arkham Asylum before it, Batman: Arkham Knight had to surpass its predecessors both as a solid action-adventure game and as a memorable Batman game at that. Fortunately, Batman: Arkham Knight is a beautiful and exciting game, even if it falls short in some areas while trying to stand out from previous entries in the series.
