The Super Mario Land Games Are Now Canon May 29th 2015, 15:08 Nintendo updated its Japanese Super Mario Bros. 30th anniversary website. What came out of it was a small surprise to Mario fans. On the site it states that the Super Mario Land games "Super Mario Land" and "Super Mario Land 2:6 Golden Coins" are now canon to the main Super Mario series.
